DEADLINE FOR 2023 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONIS MARCH 17, 2023

Student’s Criteria:

Each student applying for a scholarship with the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Dallas must meet the following qualifications: 

1. Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a 2 year or 4 year college.
2. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (include copy of high school transcript).
3. Complete an essay of 250-words on your future goals and plans after high school.
4. Must be a member of a church affiliated with the IMA.
5. Must be an active member of that church.
6. Must submit a copy of the reference letter by their pastor (included in this packet).
7. Must submit a letter of reference from a teacher/principal or community leader.
8. Must submit a letter of acceptance from the school you will be attending.
9. Must include a recent picture of you. (Picture maybe used by IMA).
10. Application must meet deadline date.

Upon receipt of your application and all required documentations, the IMA Scholarship and Evaluating Committees will review and determine the applicants that will be awarded the scholarship. The amount of funds awarded to each participant will be in check form and written payable to the participant under good faith.

The applicants will be selected based upon the following areas: Documentation, GPA, References, Conversion Experience, Church Activity, Career Goal, Spiritual Goal, and Needs. The Evaluating Committee will have the option to interview each applicant and the names of the finalists will be forwarded to the Scholarship Committee Chair who in turn will notify the applicant.

Pastor’s criteria:

The pastor of each church that is submitting a student’s name for scholarship must meet the following criteria

1. Must be a supporter of the IMA Banquet.
2. Must be a supporter of the MLK Program.

By meeting these two criteria’s it reflects not only that you are supportive of the functions of the IMA, but also helps to fund the scholarships that are to be rewarded to the various individuals SCHOLARSHIP FUND
